We celebrated the end of June, and met Jim and kids in north Madison tonight to watch the Mallards play baseball. After the high temperatures of last week, it was odd to experience fairly chilly weather. We enjoyed about five innings of the game, and then the rain hit. Being fair weather fans, we headed home with the game tied 1-1, even though it was only a light rain. We didn't miss much, as we learned later that the Mallards lost.
We had great seats, right behind home plate. The only downside to these seats is that the protective netting kept us out of play for the occasional pop-up foul balls.

Jim and Matthew root the home team on...

...while Ellen and friend Amanda party like rock stars.

Jim is visiting from Hazelhurst for the week. It appears that Matthew may be getting on his nerves.
